Maverick County Hospital District is observing National Nutrition Month in March.
This year’s theme is “Eat Right, Bite by Bite” and focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
MCHD Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Manrique Fuentes encourages the community to choose nutritious foods and perform enough physical activity to make a significant positive impact in your health.
Making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits will greatly reduce the risks of developing illnesses such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
