Dr. Andre Thomas, MD

Dr. Andre L. Thomas, MD, is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with the Maverick County Hospital District's Physician Specialty Group, where he has been a valued member since 2017. Over the years, Dr. Thomas has provided expert care to hundreds of patients dealing with sports injuries, bone fractures, and a range of orthopedic conditions.

Dr. Thomas graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago Health Science Center in 2002 and brings over 18 years of diverse experience to his practice. He holds multiple certifications and has received numerous honors and awards for his accomplishments in the field. Dr. Thomas is licensed to practice medicine in both Texas and Florida.

His extensive expertise has significantly advanced orthopedic care in our community, allowing patients to receive cutting-edge treatments locally—previously unavailable in the region—without the need to travel out of town for specialized care. In 2017, Dr. Thomas achieved a milestone for the community by performing Fort Duncan Regional's first-ever endoscopic carpal tunnel release surgery. He also conducted the hospital’s inaugural arthroscopic rotator cuff and labral repairs, marking a key advancement in minimally invasive treatment for shoulder conditions.
