MEDICAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM & BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER SERVICES PROGRAM INFORMATION
The Medical Financial Assistance Program and Breast and Cervical Cancer Program are working on assisting the community in their medical needs. By the same token, we are also working on keeping the community safe and practicing social distancing.
In order to keep the MFAP / BCCS Staff safe as well as individuals needing assistance, we will be abiding by the following new and temporary procedures. We will continue assisting the Maverick County community and their medical needs:
• A Drop Box Will Be Set Up to Drop Off The Following:
– New Applications
– Renewal Paperwork
– Payments
Please ensure all documents dropped off are in a sealed envelope to protect your privacy. Should you need assistance or have questions on documents being dropped off, please call our office at 830-757-4950 or 830-757-4954.
• If you are a new client and need assistance, please go to our website at https://www.mchdep.org/ and obtain the application and paperwork needed to apply. If you have questions, please call 830-757-4950 or 830-757-4954.
• If you are a new client and do not have access to a computer please call 830-757-4950 or 830-757-4954 to request information so that we can mail you an application.
• If you are already on the program and your program is scheduled to term by the end of March your case worker is currently working on extending your certification until the end of April 2020. If you have questions, please call 830-757-4950 or 830-757-4954.
Case workers are working diligently to assist these clients and extend their program until the end of April 2020. They will be calling you or mailing you a list of the requested information needed to extend your program.
• If you feel sick, please seek medical assistance.
• If you have appointments and are a client of the MFAP, your provider already has instructions to call in for your voucher and we will either fax or mail a voucher to them. If you have questions, please call 830-757-4950 or 830-757-4954.
