Maverick County Hospital District Highlights Professional Medical Services of Dr. Michael Crone

Maverick County Hospital District is observing National Prostate Health Month (NPHM) and is highlighting the professional medical services of Dr. Michael Crone, MD – Urology.

Dr. Crone recently discussed the importance of awareness and examination as a priority since prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men in our community.

“This is why early examination and detection is so important,” said Dr. Crone.

Dr. Crone stressed the importance of men from ages 45 to 75 undergoing a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening test.

“This will assist us in detecting and catching any problems on time,” added Crone. “It’s recommended that men in that age level receive medical checkups annually.”

Maverick County Hospital District emphasizes the importance of health education and prevention, including annual medical checkups. According to the Maverick County Hospital District’s Board of Directors, focusing on preventive care can help families defend against health emergencies and assist in raising the overall care for our community.

Through its physicians, including Dr. Crone, Maverick County Hospital District urges men to not only understand their body functions and health, but to regularly visit their medical doctors.
