About Me:

My name is Anna Sofia Aguado and I am a passionate bilingual psychotherapist with a diverse academic and personal background that shapes the way I approach mental health care. Raised in the heart of Eagle Pass, Texas, I developed a deep appreciation for community, connection, and the unique experiences that shape each individual. Currently residing in the vibrant city of Austin, I’m thrilled to bring my knowledge in neuroscience, psychology, and health administration to the communities I care deeply about.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Austin, where I first became fascinated by the intricacies of the brain and its powerful influence on behavior. This curiosity led me to pursue a Master's in Clinical Psychology, where I delved into understanding human emotions, thoughts, and relationships from a therapeutic perspective. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate in Health Administration, aiming to merge my clinical expertise with leadership strategies that can improve mental health access and services.

Beyond academia, I am deeply passionate about travel and cultural exploration. Whether it's hiking through remote landscapes, learning about new cultures, or simply engaging with people from diverse backgrounds, I believe that these experiences enrich both my personal growth and my professional approach. While I am currently located in the Austin area, I remain committed to giving back to my roots in Eagle Pass through telehealth services. I am dedicated to making therapy accessible to individuals who may otherwise face barriers to mental health care. My approach is rooted in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep respect for the unique stories and experiences of each person I work with.

I look forward to partnering with you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery, whether we’re exploring the complexities of the mind, the art of emotional expression, or simply navigating life’s challenges.
