BREAST AND CERVICAL CANCER SERVICES
The Breast and Cervical Cancer Services are available to eligible residents of Maverick, Val Verde, Dimmitt, Uvalde, Zavala, Kinney County and the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe who are not eligible for Medicaid or do not have any other form of health coverage. Eligibility is based on residency, income and resource guidelines per household. The Breast and Cervical Cancer Service provides quality, low-cost Breast Cancer Screening/Diagnostic services and Cervical Cancer Screening/Diagnostic services for eligible clients. These services help women receive regular screening, which is the best method to prevent and detect breast or cervical cancer in its earliest stages.

• Breast biopsy
• Colposcopy, LEEP and cervical biopsy
Cervical Dysplasia Management/Treatment:
• Treatment LEEP
• Cervical cryotherapy
• Cervical conizations
• Case Management/Education
The Community Navigators also provide assistance in completing applications for the Medicaid for Breast and Cervical Cancer program (MBCC). This program helps women get treatment for breast and cervical cancer.
