Maverick County Hospital District continues working to bring the best medical care services to the region, including the addition of preventive care services.
Maverick County Hospital District is focusing on providing the community with important preventive health care services and raising awareness in order to decrease chronic illnesses in the future. Maverick County Hospital District Board President, Jesus Casas, CPA, addressed preventive medicine and care as a way to reduce chronic illnesses and the number of patients needing speciality care.
“We need to focus in providing our community with preventive measures and awareness,” said Casas. “If we do so, we can diminish illnesses and lower health care costs.”
Additionally, Casas emphasized the importance of preventive care and directed the Maverick County Hospital District to continue strengthening its focus on raising community awareness. Studies have found that preventive care helps lower health care costs by preventing diseases before they require emergency room care and specialty care services.
The members of Maverick County Hospital District’s Board of Directors emphasize the importance of preventive care, as it will defend defend families against health emergencies and assist in raising the overall care of our community.
