Maverick County Hospital District is observing National Prostate Health Month (NPHM) during the month of September.

Dr. Michael Crone, MD – Urology, stresses the importance of men from ages 45 to 75 undergoing a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening test.

“This will assist us in detecting and catching any problems on time,” said Crone. “It’s recommended that men in that age level receive medical checkups annually.”

Maverick County Hospital District is focused on increasing our community’s awareness to prostate health and prostate cancer, as well as emphasizing preventive medical care and services for our patients.

If you or a family member have any questions or would like to set up an appointment with a medical physician for a checkup, please call the Maverick County Hospital District Physician Speciality Clinic at (830) 757-4900 or (830) 757-4901.
