Ram Security Services Holds CRASE Training at Maverick County Hospital District Offices

Maverick County Hospital District and Ram Security Services, LLC held a CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events,) training at the MCHD offices.

The training was provided by CBP Officer Hinojo who presented important information regarding the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy used while law enforcement arrives, developed by ALERRT in 2004.

The training provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.

Topics include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and considerations for conducting drills.

Ram Security Co-Owner Oscar Ramos emphasized the importance of CRASE training.

“For us at RAM SECURITY, it is of great importance to provide our clients not only with our services, but also additional training,” commented Ramos. “CRASE, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event, is a nationwide training that is pushed out by ALERRT. It is extremely important and a very good idea for businesses in our community to go through this training. So far, we have offered this training course to several of our clients, and we have had nothing but great feedback,” said Ramos.
