Yaraida Diaz, CHW, is the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Director for Maverick County Hospital District. Yaraida is a certified Grant Writer and a Community Health Worker. Yaraida started working for Maverick County Hospital District in 2016 as an educator for teen pregnancy prevention courses. She became the Director for the program in 2018 after obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sul Ross Rio Grande College. Yaraida has one child, Jorge, who she loves spending all of her free time with. She enjoys baking and spending quality time her with family.
