The Maverick County Hospital District would like to congratulate Maverick County Hospital District’s Mental Health Clinician, Elias Diaz, LMFT for being appointed by the Eagle Pass City Council to the Mayor’s Fitness Council.
Mr. Diaz will join appointees Deborah Meeks, Sonia Tovar, Juan Cuellar, Lupita Fuentes, Letty Villanueva, Patty Rodriguez, Rosy de los Santos, Jaylen Villalpando, Samantha Cardenas, Lisa Cain, Diana Jimenez Ayers, Diana Alvarado, City Manager George Antuna, Mayor Ramsey E. Cantu, and Councilwoman Yolanda Ramon.
Physical inactivity continues to be a great issue in our community.
This problem only adds to the increase of Obesity, Diabetes and other health problems,which are prevalent among our ethnicity.
Mayor Cantu and members of the Mayor’s Fitness Council have been taking on the challenge of creating healthy lifestyles by promoting exercise and holding weight-loss challenges throughout the year.
The Maverick County Hospital District is proud to have a seat at the table, which will guide our community on a path of wellness and better health.
