MCHD Hosts 3rd Annual Health & Wellness Expo

Maverick County Hospital District hosted its 3rd Annual Health and Wellness Expo on Friday, November 8 at the International Center for Trade. The event was a great success, with over a hundred community organizations showcasing their services to the community.

Chief Executive Officer Alma Martinez, along with Maverick County Hospital District’s administration, staff, and its Board of Trustees, wish to thank everyone who participated, including the 100+ organizations who were part of the growing exposition.

The event featured many medical services presentations from the Maverick County Hospital District staff. During the event, Board of Trustees President Jesus Casas, CPA, invited the community to visit the Hospital District.

“We are dedicated to assuring that our residents have and count with the best medical care service possible,” commented Mr. Casas. “As a district, we will continue striving to expand on those services.”

“We invite you to get informed about all the new medical services at the Maverick County Hospital District,” said Board of Trustees member Aaron E. Valdez. “We continue to work hard to be able to provide the community with quality care, and hope you take advantage of those services.”

“We want to thank everyone who joined us for our Health & Wellness Expo,” commented Chief Executive Officer Alma Martinez. “This is the third year we hold this event for our community, and we’re proud to see it grow year after year. We want to thank all the organizations who participated, as well Health & Wellness Expo Coordinator Elias Diaz and every member who helped coordinate this great event for their hard work.”

“One of the guiding principles of healthcare delivery at Maverick County Hospital District is to acknowledge the whole person,” said Elias Diaz. “We understand that healthcare is about so much more than attending medical visits and taking your medication. We are proud to collaborate with all types of agencies in our community that address various aspects of our patients’ wellbeing. We believe that by bringing events such as these to the community, we can continue to tangible shift our health culture.”
