On behalf of Maverick County Hospital District Chief Executive Officer Alma Martinez, we would like to invite the community to participate in the Candles for Life Walkathon to be held on Saturday, October 26 at the City of Eagle Pass Shelby Park.
Candles for Life is a local non-profit organization that provides assistance to local cancer patients to help in their treatment expenses.
As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Candles For Life in Eagle Pass is hosting its 2019 “Saddle Up Against Cancer” Walkathon. We encourage everyone to come out and support this worthy cause.
Maverick County Hospital District is focused on increasing awareness against all types of cancer, and has continued to assist hundreds of community residents through several programs, including the Breast and Cervical Cancer Services program.
The Candles For Life event is scheduled from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am, and will feature live music, booths, and a fundraising walk.
